Plants will cry when they hear it, so they will not attack.

But Moyin Beet has headphones and cannot hear folk songs, so he is immune to the attraction of folk songs (as well as low plants).

So use the magic beet to kill him. Also, the plants you plant after he plays his song are not affected by the ballad.
