What are the legends about Changzhou?
The Maitreya Buddha statue in Tianning Temple, the cloth-bag monk, is said to be the embodiment of the cloth-bag monk of Maitreya Buddha in China.

The name of the cloth bag monk is Qi, and the time number is Chang Tingzi's cloth bag master. He was a Buddhist monk who traveled in Huazhou County, Hou Liang during the Five Dynasties.

Legend has it that he is wide and fat, smiling, unpredictable, lying everywhere, like a madman; He often enters the market with bamboo sticks on his back, begging for food when he sees anything, and putting everything in a cloth bag, never satisfied; Sometimes, in front of a group of people, I will pour the contents of my bag on the ground and shout, "Look, look!" " "Then ha ha a smile, put it back in the bag.

One day, sitting on a rock in the east corridor of Lin Yue Temple in Fenghua, Zhejiang Province, he said that Maitreya Buddha is a real Maitreya Buddha. Hundreds of billions of believers in both places are always showing it to the world, but the world always doesn't know it.

The words faded away.

It suddenly dawned on people that Maitreya Buddha and Bodhisattva appeared for this reason, so since the Northern Song Dynasty, his image has been painted or molded everywhere and enshrined in Tianwang Temple, known as Maitreya with a big belly. And let him hold the "cloth bag".

Now the smiling and shirtless Maitreya Buddha statue in the Buddhist temple comes from this.

Why should Maitreya be happy now? There are several couplets that can answer this question very well: there are people who are close to each other, so why not; The more in the world, the better, and the more tolerant.

Another example: a big belly can accommodate things that are difficult to accommodate in the world; Laugh at the ridiculous people in the world.

According to legend, after Emperor Qianlong once came to Tianning Temple, he wanted to test whether the monks in the temple obeyed the vegetarian rules in Buddhism, so he specially gave the abbot a plate of eggs.

When the abbot saw that it was an egg, it was really hard to accept, and it would not do if he didn't accept it.

So, with a big smile on his face, he put the eggs in the cassock one by one and accepted them all. This is one of the seven wonders: the emperor gave me a plate of peaches, seedless and hairless.

The old monk took you to the Western Heaven to avoid a knife in the world.

Since then, monks in Tianning Temple have eaten eggs.

Because this is a gift from Emperor Qianlong.

The Legend of Hongmeige

When the Yuan Dynasty came to Mindfulness, there was a county magistrate named Gong Zibin who was a supervisor in Hongmeige.

One day, he mistakenly thought that the maid didn't deliver the meal in time. In a rage, he beat the maid, only to die by mistake.

He confessed to his boss, who punished him for exile in Yunnan.

At that time, Changzhou secretariat was from Yunnan and asked Gong to bring a letter from home.

When Gong started his journey, he met an old man with a crane hair and taught him to step on crutches and ribbons. Then he floated and flew. Soon, he came to Yunnan.

Gong sent a letter to the secretariat, and the secretariat's father was surprised to find that the letter was signed on the same day.

In order to thank Gong for delivering the letter in time, I asked the local government for leave.

Gong flew back to Changzhou to meet the secretariat.

The secretariat thinks he hasn't started yet.

I was surprised when I saw the reply.

Gong also showed red plums coming back from Yunnan as a voucher.

So Gong planted this red plum around the pavilion, and the red plum actually showed new branches and was in full bloom.

From then on, this pavilion was called Hongmei Pavilion.

Write the legend of the tower

Legend has it that the Wenbi Pagoda used to be outside the west gate, because it blocked the sunshine of the shack in Xiaohebang, and the things in the shack could not be exposed to the sun, which was very annoying to everyone.

One day, Aunt Zhang said to her son Zhang Sloppy, "Just carry this tower back to the East China Sea."

Zhang is a dutiful son who never disobeys his mother's orders.

He really rubbed a rope to lift the tower, and as a result, the rope broke and people fell.

Someone played a trick on him and said, "If you can twist the chaff into a rope, you can carry the pagoda away."

He really went to rub the chaff rope, but he couldn't rub it.

One day, he saw an iron knot in his heart in the cave under the pagoda, and he pulled it out hard, but it was a dragon that had been pressed at the bottom of the pagoda for 800 years.

Qinglong thanked sloppy for saving his life, so he mixed saliva with chaff and twisted it into a rope.

Zhang used it to lift the pagoda untidily, but when lifting the pagoda, he accidentally hurt Qinglong. The pagoda didn't reach the East China Sea, and Qinglong died.

The pagoda is still in the southeast corner of Hongmei Park.

According to the legend of Taurus, there is a village called Weidun in Xiatang of Qishuyan.

There is a small pond at the east end of Weidun Village called Jinniu Pool.

According to legend, the Southern Emperor Xiao Daocheng was buried in Weidun after his death. He once used a buffalo as a sacrifice and divided the cow into three sections. The cow's head was buried in front of the tomb of Qi Emperor, and the tail was buried behind the tomb, so the tomb of Qi Emperor became a cow.

Hundreds of years later, one day, someone suddenly heard the cow and listened carefully. This sound originally came from the tomb of Emperor Gaudi of Qi State.

Once, on a hot summer night, a Taurus went to a small pool to drink water and was just seen. The cow jumped into the water and disappeared.

No one has seen it since.

Therefore, people call this small pond the Golden Bull Pool, which has been in use ever since.

In fact, Taurus is still in the pool and has not disappeared.

There is a hole at the bottom of this pond, which leads to Songxian Lake. Taurus lives in this cave and rarely comes out.

Occasionally, this golden bull came out of the cave in the dead of night to send Hu Xian to take a bath, and happened to meet my cousin in Jiangxi to send Hu Xian to know the treasure.

It walked all the way at night, ran for dozens of miles, and fled to a small town in the southwest of Changzhou to hide.

People call this town Jinniu Town.

But it didn't take long for the treasure hunters in Jiangxi to find the "Tian Tong Reed" to send Hu Xian, and he also came to town with it, so this golden bull was dropped by the "Tian Tong Reed" to send Hu Xian.

Finally, let my cousin Jiangxi lead me by the nose.

This town is now Niu Ben Town, Wujin City.

So Jinniuchi and Jinniu Town are just empty names.
