History of Taiping Bridge
The construction of Taiping Bridge is related to the "Ping San Lian" in Wang Shouren (Yangming). In the Ming Dynasty, in the year of Zheng Deyuan (1506), a peasant uprising team, headed by Chi Dabian and Chi Dasheng, camped in Liantou (now Lianyuan Township, peace county City, Guangdong Province), about 40 miles away from Yangcun. Under its influence, in the seventh year of Zheng De (15 12), a small peasant uprising led by Huang Xiukui, Lai, Xu Yongfu, Zhong Wanguang and Lan Bin took place in Taipingbao, Longnan County, and circuitous activities were carried out in Longnan. Later, the two armies merged and expanded to more than 5000 people. They often attacked Xinfeng, Anyuan, Longnan and other counties, attacked feudal rule and impressed court officials. The emperor repeatedly ordered the government to suppress it, but it was difficult to put it out. In the 12th year of Zheng De's reign (15 17), in March, Wang Shouren, the left capital of Douchayuan, was appointed as the governor of Gannan, and dispatched troops to command the communist suppression in Longnan and other places. In the first month of the following year, he broke the upper, middle and lower levels and beheaded more than 2,000 levels. The remnants fled to Jiulian Mountain, and were also hunted for prisoners, so they were killed. Lai and Xu Yongfu were both wiped out in Taiping. To commemorate this "victory", Wang Shouren built Taiping Bridge at the mouth of Taiping River. Peace is the symbol of world peace. This is the origin of the ancient Taiping Bridge.
