Yanbian University Affiliated Hospital (Yanbian Hospital) is located in the eastern border of the motherland, at the foot of the magnificent Changbai Mountain. It is the only comprehensive third-class first-class hospital in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture directly under the Health Department of Jilin Province, which integrates medical treatment, clinical teaching, medical research, preventive health care and rehabilitation. It is also the central hospital in Yanbian area. Formerly known as Jilin Provincial Hospital, it was founded on September 20th, 1946. 1994 was approved by the Ministry of Health as a "Grade III A" general hospital, and 1996 was evaluated as a "baby-friendly hospital" by the Ministry of Health.
