In the early winter of this year, several old people who knew each other but were not familiar with each other passed away one after another, making this sudden winter particularly cold. Some topics about life and death have just come into my life and seem to be close at hand.
Before I had no children, before I felt that my parents were getting old, I didn't seem to be afraid of death. I have always believed that being short is not necessarily a bad thing as long as you live with quality. But after having my own baby, especially when my parents' physical condition is declining, I began to be afraid to face the problem of life and death. I certainly hope everyone can have a high quality of life, but if not, please at least let us be together.

Is there anything that can beat time? Is the passage of time enough to describe the change of time?
Liu said in "Three-body" that an ordinary life without any change is an accident for a person, just as there is no big change in human history from the Stone Age to today, it is just a bigger accident.
In this way, the silence of the volcano is accidental, and those who live at the foot of the volcano are just passers-by who live by accident.
Even if this is such a small probability event, I still found a paradise at the foot of the volcano-they lived in seclusion and lived in houses built with volcanic rocks for generations; They don't pick up the road, don't close the door at night, and there has been no theft in the village for decades. Their GDP output value is not high, but it is a place with high happiness index and life expectancy-the place where they live is called Meishe Village.
Visiting Meishe Village originated from a friend's accidental recommendation. He is the owner of a real estate company. He is interested in Meishe Village, mainly because he thinks it is valuable to develop homestays. After the interview, I agreed with him, but I was afraid that his dream would come true. For outsiders, finding the Peach Blossom Garden is everyone's dream. If you really stay in a paradise for one or two nights, it will be an unforgettable experience. For people in the Peach Blossom Garden, it is really "others are not humane enough", otherwise you know the consequences!
Like many new socialist villages, Meishe Village has a messy history. Around 2000, Meishe Village began to transform infrastructure and build roads in a unified way. The road from the expressway to the bungalow maintains the original traffic, but the winding road is outlined with dense vegetation, creating a mysterious feeling of winding.
Different from the uniformity of many socialist new villages, the houses in Meishe Village have not been "painted" into the same goose yellow, but have maintained their original appearance-the well-behaved houses are piled up with volcanic rocks of different sizes and irregular shapes. The appearance of volcanic rocks is not beautiful and smooth. Every stone is covered with deep holes, like honeycomb coal, but it is very strong, like tempered steel stone. Clever villagers put irregular volcanic rocks on the ground by craftsmen, then coated them with lime slurry, used local materials, and "taught students in accordance with their aptitude" to build houses of different specifications. However, it is said that this stone house is warm in winter and cool in summer, which is especially suitable for Hainan's humid climate.
The whole village is small, with only 170 households and a total population of less than 1000. Therefore, there are almost no social tools in the village. The only social place is the Banyan Square at the foot of the turret (the name is "Banyan Square", which is actually a few stone benches under a big banyan tree). Most of the young people in the village go out to work, while the old people stay at home to look after the orchards and rosewood in the yard. Huang Huali has always been famous, but in this small village, you can see hundreds of rosewood trees. In the village, skilled craftsmen often carve stone carvings, make full use of local resources, build ancestral temples and stages in the village, and write their expectations for a better life on their faces in a simple way.
The core building of the whole village is a square turret, which is built by using the masonry method of volcanic residents and the traditional masonry technology. The stones weighing 100 kg are knocked and sharpened, and then skillfully built according to the terrain. The bottom floor is the gatepost, with an iron gate at the door, and the words "No entry unless the bunker is important" are still kept next to it; From the first floor to the second floor, the stairs are paved with stone strips and connected with the external wall; On the top floor is a balcony with three Chinese characters "Fuxing Building" written on it. This castle, which has been built for nearly a hundred years, is still as strong as ever, and the bullet marks of the fierce fighting in that year are clearly left on the outer wall. Touch the mottled and rusty stone wall with both hands. People or things submerged in the long river of years seem to be condensed in stone buildings exposed to wind and rain. Just like the old people who enjoy the cool at the foot of the turret every day, time is a passer-by for them.
Several times, I approached them to understand what they were saying, but the dialects were so different that I really couldn't understand them. Their voices are not loud, it seems that only a small number of people can hear them, but they are not exclusive at all. If an acquaintance comes over at this moment, he will turn his head and greet them warmly. Some grandfathers are not keen on chatting, but chat with people around them in twos and threes. Most of the time they meditate, and occasionally they look at us like animals ~
Scientific data show that volcanic eruption makes basaltic rocks rich in minerals widely distributed, and the groundwater filtered by these rocks contains a lot of minerals and trace elements beneficial to human health. Moreover, the fertile land and lush trees at the foot of the volcano create unique and superior ecological conditions. Therefore, the average life expectancy of Meishe Village is much higher than that of the big city where we live. This is a stubborn small village that makes time feel helpless. Perhaps, the old people here have never walked out of this island all their lives, or perhaps, the world they think is only as big as an island; I wonder, after watching the sunrise and sunset for so long and listening to so many tides, will they still care so much about life and death?
There are often too many needs in our lives, which are entrusted by our parents, pursued by ourselves, required by social roles and endowed by the times, so we are always catching up and constantly climbing to heights and distances. It was not until my life came to an abrupt end that I discovered that I had been accumulating materials all my life, but I forgot to sort out the precipitation.
Compared with those old people who only enjoy the cool under the trees all day, there is no doubt that we have richer experience, higher-level pursuit and broader world outlook. But if life remains the same at this moment, who will regret it more and who will be more calm? I think it's best to think it over before this moment comes.
