Since ancient times, the spread of brick-making custom in Nongzhang has favored boys over girls. It is said that Nongzhang's tile making is also a preference for boys. After the boys of the ancients were born, they gave Zhang to the boys to play with, and Zhang refers to a kind of jade, so later they gave birth to boys, called playing with Zhang Zhile, and girls called playing with tiles. Zhang is a jade with a good appearance, and the tile is a part of the spinning wheel. Therefore, Nongzhang's idea of playing with tiles is that women are more important than men. The difference between Nongzhang playing with tiles still existed in the Republic of China. Even in modern times, there are still some places where giving birth to a boy is called exultation and giving birth to a girl is called Xiao Xi. When relatives and friends give away wealth accounts and wedding couplets, boys write Nongzhang and girls write tiles.
