The ancestors of the Oroqen nationality have an indissoluble bond with fire. They hunt in the deep mountains and forests all the year round. In the struggle with nature, because of the fire, they can survive and reproduce from generation to generation. So I have a special feeling for fire, and I am very close to the bonfire. After the founding of New China, the Oroqen people ended their primitive life, but their feelings for fire did not weaken. They eagerly hoped to have a national festival with bonfires as the main form. Approved by the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Oroqen Autonomous Banner, June 18 of the Gregorian calendar is the Oroqen Torch Festival every year.
