The Lusheng is a traditional reed instrument of the Miao people.

Widely spread in Miao areas. According to literature, Lusheng has a history of more than 3,000 years. As far back as the Tang Dynasty, Lusheng was played in the court. At that time, Lusheng was called "Lao Sheng".

The significance of the traditional reed instrument: On the land of China, wherever there are Miao people, there is the Lusheng. The villages where ethnic minorities live in various parts of Guizhou are known as the "Hometown of Lusheng". Lusheng is one of the ancient musical instruments especially loved by ethnic minorities.
