Perform 108 prostrations every day.
The "Pharmacist Sutra" says that the average life span of a human is 120 years, and there are 72,000 meridians in the human body. These 72,000 meridians only mature from birth to the age of twenty. Then starting from the age of 20, everyone will get sick and die due to different reasons. There are at least 720 cases every year. Normally, it takes 100 years for a person to die.
Some people are seriously ill. More people died. Traditional Chinese medicine often talks about which meridians are blocked and leads to blockage of Qi and blood, which makes people sick. High blood pressure is a typical disease because blood vessels are blocked due to thick blood. This is also the case with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and cerebral hemorrhage. question. Acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine is to open up the meridians and have the effect of removing qi and moving it. Moxibustion and massage also have the effect of relaxing muscles and activating blood circulation, removing dampness and removing blood stasis.
The effect of prostrations in promoting qi and luck and unblocking meridians is more prominent. For example, when we do prostrations, we need to concentrate on our body, speech, mind and thoughts. This will eliminate your delusions and make qi and luck smoother. Too many delusional thoughts will consume energy and vitality. The Great Prayer incorporates the essence of martial arts, practicing one breath internally and muscles, bones and skin externally. Many people like to go to the gym to exercise. What’s the use? It can only grow two muscles. Chinese people exercise their meridians outdoors in accordance with the nature of heaven and earth. Yes, nourishing your vitality will prolong your life.
When praying, the hands and feet are used together to run through the twelve meridians. Generally, people's diseases are from the head to the waist. The waist is where the "vital energy" in traditional Chinese medicine is located. The treatment of diseases in traditional Chinese medicine is to regulate the liver (chest and head) and kidneys (waist to waist). feet), when you put your hands together (with thoughts) and pray down from the head, throat, and chest, then it reaches the kidneys. Many people are easily angry and have empty fire rushing to their heads and cannot come down. When praying, you can use your thoughts to draw down the fire. , allowing Qi and blood to circulate smoothly throughout the body, achieving the balance of liver and kidneys and the intersection of heart and kidneys. In addition, the hands, hands and feet run through the twelve meridians of the human body. When we pray, our hands need to rub against the ground. In fact, we are dredging the yin and yang meridians and the internal organs. Ten fingers are connected to the heart. Whether a person has a good IQ or not can be seen through the fingers, while the mind is a dexterity, so people must have a good brain and move their fingers frequently.
At the same time, it is necessary to cooperate with the strength of the footsteps. The brain, cerebellum, heart, larynx, blood pressure, etc. are all located at the front and inside of the big toe. The other toes are the distribution of the eyes, ears, and nose respectively. When our hands When supporting the ground, the soles of the feet and toes must also bend and bear the force. At this time, the meridians will be opened, and then push forward, the entire human body's Qi meridians will start to circulate. After you get up, you need to use your waist to exert force. This is nourishing the "vital energy". People grow old starting from their feet. If walking is difficult, it means that the kidneys are weak and the kidney energy is not enough. Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian and Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian.
These two meridians determine the quality of the human body. Through prostrations, the knots of these two meridians can be opened, and the vitality will remove the deficiencies in the body. The cold viruses are driven out and detoxified through sweating through the pores, which achieves the effect of curing diseases and maintaining health. Many people feel very comfortable after doing it. That is because the meridians are unblocked and the pulse knots are opened. The prostration seems very simple, but in fact The connotation is very profound. The following is Layman De Rong’s experience of prostration
When we prostrate every day, our heart and mentality will be very peaceful, and we can open up wisdom. Wisdom can arise when people are quiet. Many people are unhappy because their mentality is unbalanced. A thought goes wrong and a blunder occurs. The body's energy increases, wisdom develops, and blessings abound.
When I first performed prostrations, I didn’t realize there was anything magical about it. The master asked me to do more prostrations, so I did it.
I did more than 10,000 prostrations. When I reached 30,000, the meridians on my body kept beating, as if there was air flow. When I reached 30,000, my cervical spine pain, stiff neck, and shoulder pain were all cured. I read in a book that the modern Zen Buddhist monk Xuyun, the old monk, suffered from cervical spondylosis and frozen shoulder when he was young. After he had done the prostrations, he often waited until everyone else was asleep at night, and then he did it secretly. Zen Buddhism uses sitting meditation. For the sake of the Lord, prostrations are a unique practice method of Tantric practice. According to the jungle's "Liuhe Jing" and "precepts and fellow practitioners" system, it will cause ridicule. At that time, I thought there seemed to be elements of qigong, but I was not sure. I found the answer in the book "Common Knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism" written by "Duoshi Rinpoche", a doctoral supervisor at Northwest China's National University of China (Gelug Sect). There are "tantric qigong" practice methods, but they cannot be confused with the pseudo qigong in the world. They are just a means of opening the knots of the pulses. The highlights of the tantric qigong are the cultivation part of "tantric qigong". Because it is Tantric Dharma, people who generally do not have this kind of aptitude will not understand it if you tell it to them, and they will slander it. Therefore, practicing Tantric Dharma requires certain blessings and aptitudes. The purpose of prostrations is to reconcile the four elements, cultivate renunciation, then generate bodhicitta, realize emptiness, and finally achieve the ultimate meaning of Dharmakaya Bodhi. The four refuges: the Three True Jewels and the Three Roots, the clear point of pulse and energy, the pure Bodhicitta, the body and self-nature in the mandala of great compassion, and the eternal refuge to the ultimate Bodhi. The Four Refuges make it very clear that one must take refuge in the Three Jewels before practicing prostrations.
