Shanghai Unified Examination subjects and scores:

Vocal singing, instrumental performance, music theory, sight-singing and ear training.

If the candidate has passed four subjects, he or she can apply for the musicology or music performance major; if the candidate has passed three subjects [vocal singing or instrumental performance (choose one), music theory, sight-singing and ear training], he or she can apply for the musicology or music performance major. Can only apply for music performance majors.

The full score for each subject is 100 points. The total score for three doors is 300 points, and the total score for four doors is 400 points.

Shanxi music majors: full score is 100 points. Dictation accounts for 14%, music theory and sight-singing account for 8% each, and singing (playing) accounts for 70%.

The total professional score is 300 points.

Jiangsu Basic Music Subject: Sight-singing (interview), ear training (written test) and basic music theory and music knowledge (written test) are all tested. The full score of basic music subject is 90 points, of which sight-singing is 40 points. 25 points for ear training and 25 points for basic music theory and general knowledge.

Main examination subject: Vocal music or instrumental music. Candidates must determine one of them as the main examination subject. The full score of the main examination subject is 190 points.

Additional test subject: vocal music or instrumental music, candidates must determine one of them as the additional test subject, and the additional test subject must be different from the main test subject, with a full score of 20 points.
