The second method is to hang the disc or tape. Compact discs can reflect light, as can magnetic tape. At first I thought it was a child's prank, but later I heard the villagers say it was used to deter birds. The third method is to use smell to expel. You can take some small boxes, put some smelly food or some moldy seeds in them, soak them in diesel oil, and then place them around the planting site. In this way, when birds come to steal food, they will smell the smell of diesel and stop stealing. Of course, if conditions permit, you can purchase some high-tech bird repellent products, such as soundproof bird repellents, bird repellent nets, bird repellent ribbons, etc. However, it is not very profitable for farmers to grow crops, and these technological products have to increase their costs, so most of them are unwilling to do so.
