It will be helpful to tell you a story about a famous Chinese pianist, Teacher Zhou Guangren.
..... In May 1982, when Zhou Guangren offered to help move grand piano at a concert by a foreign expert, one leg of the piano was accidentally broken, causing her right ring finger to be broken on the spot and her middle finger and little finger to be comminuted. Although after surgery, her middle finger and little finger kept the original length, but her ring finger was always short. For a pianist, the hand is the whole life. Facing this unfortunate disaster, Zhou Guangren didn't complain, let alone be knocked down. She loves the piano so much that she has only one idea in her heart, that is, to play the music in her heart again. So, just a few days after the operation, she practiced under the guidance of a doctor. The two injured fingers couldn't move at first, and every time they moved, they hurt terribly. Later, when she moved a little, she put on rubber gloves for doctors, wrapped cotton in front of her fingers and began to practice the piano. In this way, with amazing perseverance and tenacious spirit, she actually re-entered the stage after just one year of recovery and practice. In the auditorium of Peking University, the lyrical and beautiful melody of Chopin's "Lullaby" flowed quietly under her fingers. After the performance, she invited the attending doctor to the stage. The touching scene made the audience all moved.
Teacher Zhou Guangren has set a benchmark for us. I wish you to let the wonderful piano sound flow from your fingertips again like her.
