Candlelight meditation can make people let go of all selfish distractions, feel the inner peace of the moment, and relieve people's stress, thus making their hearts calmer, their spirits fuller and their self-confidence invisible.
Candlelight meditation is one of the exercises of "One-Point Gaze", which means central vision in Sanskrit, and is translated into Chinese as "Gaze". When the visual interference stops, people's minds will easily become a calm water surface with no waves. So this exercise is a bridge between concentration and meditation. Doing this exercise can also maintain your eyes and improve your defective vision.
candlelight meditation is with your eyes. Open your eyes and don't blink. In fact, you can master meditation without using candles as long as you master the principle. Don't use candles, open your eyes and try not to blink. If you are tired, you need to blink to protect your eyes, but if you control it and don't blink, your mind will stop thinking and there will be no thinking.
Candlelight meditation can speed up the blood circulation in the eyes through staring, and the shed tears can discharge impurities in the eyes. It can enhance self-confidence, cultivate the eyes of God, so that you can calmly face the gaze of others, and your eyes will not wander. It is an excellent relaxation meditation method. By staring at the candlelight and capturing the image of the flame in your mind, you gradually enter a state of meditation. Regular practice can relieve people's stress, so that the mind is calmer, full of energy and self-confidence is invisibly enhanced. After practice, you will obviously feel that eye fatigue is relieved, your eyesight is strengthened, your eyes are bright and sensitive, and you can also effectively treat various eye diseases.
Briefly introduce the basic method of candlelight meditation:
Prepare a candle, the height of the flame should be at a level with the eyes, and the body should be about one arm and a half away from the candle. Weak eyesight is more sensitive to the stimulation of candlelight, so stay away from candlelight a little. If the monocular degree is higher than 4 degrees, the distance should be about 2 meters. During the practice, you can wear frame glasses, but you can't wear contact lenses. Because it is likely to shed tears during practice, which will make contact lenses move and stimulate the cornea. People who have had eye surgery (such as myopia surgery) had better consult a doctor first. Generally, candlelight meditation can be done 3 months after surgery, and people with depression can't stare by candlelight.
you can sit in a sitting position, but don't hunch over. If you choose a sitting posture, let your knees be lower than your hips. People with poor flexibility can use cushions to raise your hips, which can ensure that your back is straight during practice.
relax your eyes, close your eyes, inhale deeply, exhale slowly, keep your back straight and relax. First turn your head to the left, and your line of sight falls behind your right shoulder, then turn your head to the right, and your line of sight falls behind your left shoulder; Then look up. When your eyes look up, your eyes should focus on your nose, and finally on the bottom. Try to keep your chin against your collarbone. Pay attention to slow and even movements, then take five deep breaths and open your eyes. Then move the eyeball, turn it up and down, left and right continuously, and you can close your eyes and rest for a while between each movement, feeling that your heart is completely at rest.
Open your eyes slowly after candlelight meditation. When you open your eyes, your eyes should not fall directly on the candlelight, but gradually move from your knees to the ground in front of you, then raise your eyes to the bottom of the candlestick, and finally move to the candlelight to stare. When staring, relax your eyes and try not to blink. When you feel that tears are about to flow or have already flowed, slowly withdraw your eyes, close your eyes, arch your palms, and buckle them on your eyes in a bowl. Stay for 5 ~ 7 breaths and relax. Then open your eyes and stare directly at the candlelight. When you feel that your eyes are sore and tears are about to flow or have already flowed, close your eyes, rub your palms together and buckle them on your eyes, so that your eyes can have a rest. At this time, if you pay enough attention, the flame of a candle will appear between your eyebrows. Hold it firmly with your consciousness and the flame will become smaller and smaller. When the flame between the eyebrows disappears, you open your eyes again and continue to stare at the candlelight ...... and keep staring at the candlelight for about 1 minutes.
relax all over, and finally lie down and relax all over. After relaxing, take a deep breath, sit up and blow out the candles.
During candlelight meditation, we should also pay attention to the following points:
First, during the practice, please be careful not to touch your eyes with your palms. At this time, your eyes are very sensitive and let your tears flow naturally.
Second, in practice, as long as you are comfortable, don't move your body for any reason or in any way.
Third, when practicing in a dark room, we should ensure air circulation, because when the candle burns, there is a small amount of lead, which is harmful to human body. The air flow can reduce the harm, but it is advisable not to make the candle shake excessively.
Fourth, it is better to do exercises at night, which can also improve the quality of sleep.
Fifth, you may feel tears or sore eyes during practice, which is normal. If you feel very uncomfortable and can't concentrate, you can give up and choose other meditation methods.
to practice a skill, we must be tempered!
