Hey, hey, hey. The creative background of "Stand Up"
"Stand Up" is the theme song of the movie "One Man's Olympics" .
Initially, the musician Shu Nan proposed to design a theme song for the film. The film producer Wang Zhebin was a little hesitant because asking a singer to sing would cost a lot of money, and if it appeared at the end of the film, the audience might be disappointed. I'm gone and can't hear this song anymore. In order to persuade Wang Zhebin, Shu Nan found screenwriter Wang Xingdong and lyricist Wang Pingjiu, and the two persuaded Wang Zhebin to accept the song creation idea.
The song was finally formed after Shu Nan composed the music and Wang Pingjiu wrote the lyrics. The lyricist Wang Pingjiu spent an hour in the car writing the lyrics after watching the trailer of the movie. Because the melody of the song was decided first, the lyrics had to be adjusted according to the music. Later, Wang Pingjiu was taken to the basement by Wang Zhebin and spent two hours revising the lyrics.
The original singers of the song were Jackie Chan, Wang Leehom, Zhang Ziyi and Stefanie Sun. Later, after adjustments, it was finally decided that Jackie Chan, Wang Leehom, Stefanie Sun, and Han Hong would perform the role together. Because of the busy schedules of the four singers, it was difficult to get them together to record. Therefore, these four singers recorded in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland respectively, and could only complete the songs through post-mixing.
Leehom Wang first recorded his singing part in Taiwan, China, Stefanie Sun and Han Hong also successfully completed the recording in Beijing, and Jackie Chan completed the recording last. When Stefanie was recording, it only took about 30 minutes. Stefanie wanted to sing out a joyful and happy atmosphere, so she was very relaxed when singing. Jackie Chan communicated with the sound engineer for half an hour before recording to ensure the recording effect. During the recording, Jackie Chan suffered from strep throat, and it took him two hours to complete the recording. "Stand Up" Song Appreciation
"Stand Up" contains the Olympic spirit of "Faster, Higher, Stronger". In addition, it also has the national spirit of the Chinese nation's continuous self-improvement. It is a work that combines Chinese style and international pop elements. At the beginning of each line of the song, one person stands up and sings, and then everyone sings in harmony, which is sonorous, powerful, and catchy. The second half of the song incorporates the trendy timbre and rhythm of Western pop music, making it sound like it not only loses the simplicity of Chinese culture, but also is in line with world trends. Jackie Chan's voice is bold and majestic, while Han Hong's Tibetan chorus and passionate singing make the melody deafening. The combination of these four people makes the song surprisingly effective.
