This dance is a dance of the Yi people.

The foot dance of the Yi people, called "Xi Zeqie" in Yi language, is a dance form mainly based on foot movements. Antipodal dance was originally a group dance performed at festivals, harvests, weddings and other gatherings, and later developed into a self-entertainment dance for the masses.

The characteristic of foot dance is that it has a variety of movements, and can be participated by men, women, old and young, and is not restricted by environment, time, number of people, props, music accompaniment and other conditions.
