Music school admissions requirements are as follows:

1. In good health, in addition to complying with the "Physical Examination Standards for General College Admissions (Revised)" of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, no stuttering and no color blindness , color weakness. Unmarried young people under the age of 22 can apply for the performance and performance major; unmarried young people under the age of 25 can apply for other majors; candidates applying for the composition major can be relaxed to 30 years old, regardless of whether they are married or not.

2. Candidates with special contributions and talents shall be recommended by their units and approved by the Provincial Admissions Office. The age may be relaxed appropriately, and there is no limit on whether they are married or not. To apply for the broadcasting and hosting major, men must be no less than 172 cm tall and women must be no less than 160 cm tall (strictly subject to height restrictions).

3. Support the Four Basic Principles, love the motherland, and abide by laws and regulations; have a high school diploma or equivalent education, be in good health, and be unmarried.

4. (Nowadays, most majors no longer have age restrictions) Applicants for majors in acting, screenwriting, composition, directing, and historical theory must be no more than 30 years old, and there is no limit on whether they are married. For other majors, no age limit is required. For citizens who are over 25 years old and have special contributions and talents, the age for applying for various majors can be relaxed appropriately if recommended by their unit, and there is no limit on whether they are married or not.

Employees of the state and collective enterprises and institutions who meet the above conditions can apply for the examination with the approval of their units. Fresh graduates of secondary art schools and military soldiers who have been approved by the political department at the military region level, and graduates of non-art secondary vocational schools and technical majors who have worked for two years can apply with the approval of their units.
