How difficult is it to take the Opera Department exam at the Central Conservatory of Music?

If you want to successfully pass the Central Academy Vocal Opera Professional Examination, you must first understand the exam content and requirements, and understand the admission situation in recent years.

Exam content

Four vocal works: two Chinese works (composed songs, folk songs, Chinese opera selections); two foreign works (art songs, opera selections, etc.) .

Note:

1. Must be sung in the original text.

2. Opera arias must be sung in their original key.

3. Art songs can be transposed.

4. No popular songs are allowed.

5. Candidates can bring their own piano accompaniment.

If you do not bring a piano accompaniment, the college will provide a piano accompaniment teacher for the candidate, and the candidate is required to bring his or her own piano music score (original

key staff). The piano accompaniment teachers arranged by the college do not provide candidates with pre-accompaniment, transposition, improvisation and accompaniment work.

6. Those who fail to pass the initial professional examination will not enter the subsequent examination.

7. Those who pass the second round of the professional preliminary examination must take the professional re-examination and the third examination.

2. Comprehensive performance quality test

1. Recitation (within 2 minutes, prepared by the candidates themselves, any prose, fable, or poetry is acceptable).

2. Demonstration of specialty (within 3 minutes, candidates can choose one of the following items to demonstrate).

A. Performance singing, candidates use body and body combined with singing to express the content, plot and emotion of vocal works. The required accompaniment is brought with you, and you can use CD accompaniment discs.

Note: Candidates must have good facial features.

Height requirements:

Girls: above 1.60 meters; boys: above 1.72 meters. Exceptions may be made for those with particularly outstanding majors.
