The schools that will take the 2024 Music School Examination are introduced as follows:

1. Central Conservatory of Music: Located in Beijing, it was included in the national "211 Project" construction colleges in 2000. It is the only national key university among art schools in the country and one of the first batch of "double first-class" universities in the country to build world-class disciplines.

2. China Conservatory of Music: Located in Beijing, it was jointly established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. It is based on Chinese studies and has unique Chinese music. With education and research characteristics, it is a higher music institution that cultivates senior professionals engaged in Chinese music theory research, creation, performance and education. It is a national "double first-class" construction university.

3. Tianjin Conservatory of Music: located in Tianjin is a full-time general institution of higher learning organized by the Tianjin Municipal Government and managed by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission. It is the construction unit of Tianjin’s off-campus innovative practice base for postgraduate education and one of the first batch of master’s degree awarding units approved by the State Council.

Xinghai Conservatory of Music: Located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, it has been selected as the National College Student Cultural Quality Education Base and the Ministry of Education’s General Colleges and Universities Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture (Cantonese Opera) Inheritance Base. It is the only higher music professional institution in South China.

5. Sichuan Conservatory of Music: referred to as "Sichuan Music", located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a provincial full-time general undergraduate institution of higher learning with "art" as its main educational feature. It is one of the 11 independent professional music institutions in the country. It is one of the colleges and one of the 31 independent art colleges in the country.
