Except for the erhu, he is good at eating, drinking and gambling. This is really what A Bing is like.
In the minds of many people, Blind Abing is an erhu master and folk musician. His song "Two Springs Reflect the Moon" made him world-famous. Therefore, in the minds of many people, he is a god-like existence with a halo of his own. However, our understanding of him is too superficial. The real blind man, the illegitimate child, the good at eating, drinking, prostitution and gambling, all kinds of bloody plots are shocking! Illegitimate child
Blind Abing, formerly known as Hua Yanjun, was born in Wuxi City. His father is the head of the Taoist temple, A Bing is an illegitimate son, and his mother died when he was 4 years old. Later, A Bing was raised by his aunt of the same clan, and at the age of 8 he joined his father as a Taoist priest in Lei Zun Hall. Due to his status as an illegitimate son, he could only call his father master.
A Bing learned musical instruments from his father. He was able to play a variety of music at the age of 12. He became famous at the age of 18 and was hailed as an expert performer by Wuxi Taoist music circles. When A Bing reached the age of 21, he did not know the identity of his illegitimate son until his father passed away. After his father's death, due to his father's arrangements, he successfully became the head of the Taoist temple. He was good at eating, drinking, and gambling
The master suddenly became a father. Perhaps because of his identity as an illegitimate son, A Bing couldn't accept it for a while. Coupled with poor friendships, he began to let himself go, eat, drink, whore, gamble, and even take opium. . It was fun when he was squandering wantonly, but the consequences were very serious. Due to his disorderly life and the invasion of syphilis, he became blind, and then gradually lost control of the Taoist temple, and was finally driven out of the Taoist temple ruthlessly. . Passionate folk artist
After living on the street, the tribe arranged for Dong Caidi, a rural widow from Jiangyin, to take care of him. A few years later, he lived with his widowed brother. This Abing is really a passionate folk artist! The world is so magical. In the pain and despair, Abing did not break the pot, but gave full play to his musical talent. Of course, he was forced by life. He made a living by "selling songs". Just like this, he rapped about current affairs and performed on the street, and the creative folk artist known as "Blind Man A Bing" was born. "Two Springs Reflect the Moon" is world-famous
The blind man A Bing was performing on the streets and experienced the bitterness and pain of the world, so he also composed a song after another. The most famous one is "Two Springs Reflect the Moon". Not only is the title of the song beautiful and extremely poetic, but more importantly, it expresses the author A Bing’s heartfelt lamentation, cursing the darkness, and longing for the light. "Two Springs Reflect the Moon" was recorded and notated by musician Mr. Yang Yinliu in the early 1950s based on Abing's performance. It was recorded as a record and soon became popular all over the country.
Subsequently, it was given as a precious gift to visiting international friends, and it was performed on the international stage many times and became world-renowned. In 1991, a British musician listened to the recording of "The Moon Reflects on Two Springs" at a concert in the United States and excitedly said to a Beethoven's hometown: "Beethoven of China!" China's "Destiny"! ?
However, all this came a little too late. In his later years, Abing suffered from lung disease and was bedridden and vomited blood. From then on, he stopped performing on the streets and repaired the huqin as a business at home, struggling to get by. On December 4, 1950, Abing died of illness at the age of 57 and was buried in the Taoist Tomb at the foot of Canshan Mountain in the western suburbs of Wuxi.
Life is like a dream, who would have thought that our Erhu master would have such a bloody experience. The reason why masters are masters is that when they were at the lowest point in their lives, they did not fall into despair, but rebounded from the bottom, dared to challenge fate, and lived their own wonderful lives! As Beethoven said, I want to hold fate by the throat, and it will never make me surrender completely. ?Don’t give up, don’t give in!
