According to Notes on Tomb Robbery, Wang Zanghai was ordered to directly participate in the design of the whole Ming Palace. It was after the Ming Dynasty moved its capital that the Ming Palace was designed.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Yingtianfu (now Nanjing) was the capital, and in the 19th year of Yongle (142 1), Ming Taizu Judy moved the capital to Shuntianfu (now Beijing), and Yingtianfu was renamed Nanjing.
