Who is the emperor with the best fate and the best ending in the history of China?
In the process of changing dynasties in ancient China, many emperors who perished in the country were either killed or committed suicide. In some cases, they are exiled and imprisoned, and they often leave a bad reputation after their death. But among this group of "poor people", there was an emperor who not only enjoyed his old age after his national subjugation, but also left an eternal reputation. He is the emperor Liu Xie in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

Liu Xie was born less than a month ago, his mother died, and he was raised by his grandmother Dong Taihou. According to common sense, Liu Xie actually has no chance to be an emperor. After the death of Emperor Liu Hong, his son Liu Yong succeeded to the throne of Emperor Wu. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, due to the autocratic power of eunuchs and the independence of local governors, the court became a mess. Dong Zhuo was invited to Luoyang by his consort and general He Jin, who destroyed the eunuch group in one fell swoop and took control of the political affairs in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Considering that Liu Xie has no mother and Dong Taihou is a clan, it is easier to control. In the sixth year of Zhong Ping (AD 189), Dong Zhuo deposed Liu Bian and made his half-brother Liu Xie emperor. At this time, he was only 9 years old.

Liu Xie is brilliant and has the heart of loving the people. In the first year of Xingping (AD 194), there was a sudden drought in Beijing, and food prices soared, reaching a high price of 500,000 yuan (equivalent to 20,000 yuan a catty). In Chang 'an, there was a tragedy of eating easily. After Liu Xie learned about this, he appointed Hou Wen, an imperial envoy, to take charge of opening a warehouse for relief and provide Taicang rice and beans to the hungry people free of charge. However, many people starved to death. Liu Xie suspected that Hou Wen took the opportunity to enrich himself, so he took five liters of rice and five liters of beans to cook porridge himself. Finally, two cauldrons were cooked, which were filled with Hou Wen's charges, so Hou Wen was severely punished, and then the hungry people in Chang 'an got relief one after another.

As an adult, Liu Xie was dissatisfied with being a puppet emperor, secretly accumulating strength and preparing to fight against the powerful ministers. However, due to the lack of foundation, he finally failed and was forced to flee, and was finally "saved" by Cao Cao, who began to "hold the emperor to make the princes". On the surface, Liu Xie succumbed to Cao Cao, secretly still seeking an uprising, but repeatedly failed. In order to let Liu Xie die, Cao Cao killed Liu Xie's queen and two sons, and betrothed his daughter Cao Jie to him as queen, and he became a "monarch". Although Cao Cao was a little cruel, he was not bad to Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty in the troubled times of the Central Plains, and the treatment he provided was passable.

In this way, Liu Xie has been a puppet emperor for more than 30 years, and he has long learned to read and read. After Cao Cao's death, he knew that the general trend of the Han Dynasty was gone and took the initiative to give up the throne to Xelloss. Xelloss saw that he was so sensible and his brother-in-law, so he named him Duke of Yang Shan and drew a fief. This is the "Yang Shan Gong Guo" that has survived for 89 years but is rarely known by future generations.

Maybe I've seen too much wealth and intrigue with life and death. After Liu Xie came to power, he no longer had the heart to be king. He settled in Yang Shan, Henan Province with peace of mind, but a quiet life made him a kind person. He loves the people, reduces taxes and even condescends to save lives. He only receives a little herbal medicine to treat patients, and there is no charge for medical treatment, acupuncture and cupping. The local people appreciated his benevolent policy and spontaneously protected his grave after his death. Liu Xie's achievements have been handed down from generation to generation, so his cemetery has never been stolen.

In addition, Liu Xie also clearly realized that if he died or Cao Wei perished, future generations would probably be robbed, so he warned them to hide their strength and bide their time, and it was best to emigrate. In the tenth year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (AD 289), Liu Xie's great-grandson Liu led thousands of family members and followers to Japan by boat and was regarded as a distinguished guest by the emperor. Liu and his son were also named king and king respectively, and were named "messengers of the Eastern Han Dynasty", and the latter were named "Eastern Han Dynasty". Since then, Liu Xie's descendants have laid a solid foundation in Japan, and gradually derived superior surnames such as Gao Qiao, Harada, Dacang and Sakamoto, which became a big family in Japan.

Thousands of years have passed, and many descendants of Liu Xie have emigrated to all parts of the world, but they still remember that they are descendants of the Han Dynasty, and built the "Han Taigong Temple" and "A Zhi Palace" in their place of residence. Speaking of it, no one expected that the last emperor could have such prosperous descendants, which was obviously due to Liu Xie's foresight.
