Where is the origin of the famous wine Fang Shuijing?
Fang Shuijing, from the end of Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of Ming Dynasty, has always been the layout of "front shop and back shop", which has been continuously produced for more than 600 years. It is the only example of ancient brewing workshops and wineries found in China, which strongly proves Li Shizhen's view in Compendium of Materia Medica in the Ming Dynasty that "shochu is not an ancient method, but was created since the Yuan Dynasty".

This archaeological discovery is recognized as "the oldest winery in China" by experts in archaeology, history and liquor industry. Fang Shuijing Site is by far the most comprehensive, complete, oldest and original winery with the most national characteristics. As the source of China liquor, its historical value is comparable to "Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang" and it is praised as "the first liquor distillery in China" by the relevant state departments.

For hundreds of years, wineries and crafts have coexisted so far, and they are living cultural relics, known as "the wordless history book of China Liquor". Because it filled the gap in the special archaeology of China winery site, it was rated as one of the "Top Ten Archaeological Discoveries in China in 1999" by National Cultural Heritage Administration.
