Welcome pine in Lishan is a vigorous ancient Huashan pine, which has a growth history of more than 400 years and is one of the oldest existing Huashan pine in our province. It has been included in Encyclopedia of Ancient and Famous Trees in Shanxi Province. It is about 8 meters high, more than 3 meters thick, and the crown height is 12 meters. Although it is not the largest and oldest tree in Lishan, its branches are thick and its main branches extend around like dragons and phoenixes.

The local custom is to burn incense and kowtow under the big tree every year. Young men and women and newlyweds pray for a happy marriage and a long life together. Middle-aged and elderly people pray for health and longevity. In ancient times, there was also a saying that "the civilian got off the sedan chair here and the military attache got off the horse here". Therefore, the welcoming pine is honored as a "holy tree".
