Twenty-five thousand years ago, life in China was very hard. Most people are very poor. In this era, a great leader of China was born. He is Confucius. Confucius was born in a noble family, but his parents were poor. When Confucius was only three years old, his father died. The boy is a good obedient son to his mother. He became quiet, considerate and diligent when he grew up. Confucius looked at the people around him and he became eager to help them. Finally, he left his family and began to make his students honest and kind and filial to their parents. He told them that a good man would never make himself angry. Many of his savings were collected and recorded. One of his famous savings is "Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you." Over the years, he wandered from one province to another, spreading his thoughts to all who would listen to him.
