What did the ancients mean by Shui Danqing?
The ancient water painting refers to tea-a hundred plays.

Tea play, also known as tea, soup play or tea play. It is based on the ground cream tea, and the water veins (that is, the suspension of tea soup) are magically transformed into patterns with clear water, so the ancients also called it Shuidanqing.

Tea Hundred Plays began in the Tang Dynasty, and it is a unique skill that uses ground tea as raw materials to turn tea soup into patterns with clear water. A complete set of tea tricks has to go through more than a dozen processes, such as baking tea, crushing tea, rolling tea, waiting for soup, scalding tea, taking tea powder, mixing paste, injecting soup, beating and distributing tea.

Tea play is an art of painting with clear water on the basis of ordering tea, and the formation of patterns in tea soup is closely related to the foam of tea soup when ordering tea. Tea drama can make the soup flowers formed by ordering tea instantly present magnificent and changeable scenes, such as mountains and rivers, clouds, flowers and birds, fish and insects, etc.

The Historical Origin of Tea White Opera

Northern Fujian is an important tea-producing area in China, which is not only suitable for the growth of tea trees, but also breeds a rich tea culture. Tea Hundred Dramas, which spread in northern Fujian, is an ancient tea art that can make the veins of tea and soup form objects, also known as tea separation, soup drama, tea drama and water painting.

Tea Baixi was formed in the Tang Dynasty and reached its peak in the Song Dynasty. The popularity of Tea Hundred Opera benefited from the admiration of the imperial court and the promotion and spread of a large number of literati such as Yang Wanli, Lu You, Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi.

After the Yuan Dynasty, the method of ordering tea was gradually replaced by the method of making tea, and tea separation was no longer popular. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was still a small amount of tea and tea distribution in northern Fujian. After modern times, the refreshment method was basically lost. After continuous research and exploration, in 2009, the ancient tea art-Baixi was discovered and restored.
