On this basis, it comprehensively analyzes the conditions for the formation of historical textual research in the 20th century. This paper discusses the academic achievements of Wang Guowei, Chen Yinque, Chen Yuan, Hu Shi, Gu Jiegang, Fu Sinian, Meng Sen, Lv Simian, Cen Zhongmian, Qian Mu, Tang Yongtong, Xu, Chen, Xu Zhongshu, Tan Qixiang and Tang, and evaluates their position in the academic history of the 20th century.
