In the early Qing dynasty, there were also periods of prosperity, such as the prosperity of Kanggan, which we all know. At that time, the Qing dynasty was still admired by all parties, and its strength could be called quite strong. However, after experiencing prosperity, the Qing dynasty ushered in decline, which was also related to the rule of the Qing dynasty itself. When the west was developing vigorously, the Qing dynasty began to close its doors to the outside world, until it was finally blown away by the artillery fire of the great powers, and there was no resistance.
After the door of the Qing dynasty was knocked open, it was not only as simple as changing the dynasty, but also represented being eliminated by the times. In this era of gradual development, the feudal system is no longer suitable for China. After China's traditional natural economic model was broken, the people accepted the influence of western thoughts, and their desire for democracy and freedom was gradually aroused. Under such circumstances, the demise of the Qing Dynasty was not accidental, but a strange thing happened before the demise of the Qing Dynasty.
During the Sino-Japanese War, a Beijing Opera Troupe suddenly performed.
During 1894, there was a war between the Qing government and Japan, which was called the Sino-Japanese War in history. In this war, Lushun in Dalian was occupied. Then, Lushun entered the darkest moment, and both the officers and men who resisted and the unarmed people were ruthlessly killed.
Amid the sad cries, the voice of Beijing Opera suddenly came from a teahouse. Not only that, there are voices of singing, chanting and playing during the performance of Beijing Opera. After hearing these voices, the Japanese army felt very strange, so they went forward to find out. It turned out to be the Peking Opera Theatre in the teahouse, with about 200 people. In such a troupe, nearly half of the people are teenagers.
Inquired by the Japanese army, it was learned that these Peking Opera actors were invited here to perform for some officials before the fall of Lushun. After the fall of Lushun, these officials all fled, leaving only them. But they don't want to escape, but in this teahouse, they rehearse and perform again and again, without soul.
Officials in Shashi, Hubei Province knew nothing about the Sino-Japanese War of 1894- 1895.
The demise of the Qing Dynasty is inevitable. After the Sino-Japanese War, the Qing army was defeated. Japan sent relevant personnel to open a consulate in Shashi, Hubei Province, and chose the address of the consulate. The staff went to Shashi, Wuhan, and asked local officials about it. Surprisingly, local officials said they didn't know what they were doing here and knew nothing about the war. It can be seen that the Qing government concealed the fact of defeat from many people at that time, which also showed that some officials in the Qing dynasty did not care about the affairs of the country.
German powers occupied Rizhao county with only "a bag of cigarettes"
After the Opium War, the Qing Dynasty was like a piece of meat cut at will, and the powers and countries fought for it. After Japan, Germany took Jiaozhou Bay as its own, and then sent troops to occupy Rizhao. However, few German soldiers went to Rizhao, but they occupied Rizhao in a short time.
Of course, a few Germans would not be stupid enough to attack Rizhao directly, so they first explored the beach in Shijiu. At that time, ordinary people didn't show any panic in the face of German soldiers with guns, which surprised German soldiers and thought that China people were very courageous.
Faced with this situation, the Germans shouted to the locals through translators, and if they could send the Germans to the county seat, they would be given money. Hearing this, the common people immediately got into the water and sent these German soldiers to the county seat.
In later memories, some Germans said that we entered China with the help of China, and they couldn't even believe that they were on the territory of China.
The above three events are hard to understand at first glance, but they reflect the social situation and people's mentality at that time. The Qing government was decadent and backward, and Qing officials knew nothing about state affairs, let alone cared about people's livelihood. At that time, the people were closed-minded, feudal and ignorant, and even unaware of the disaster. This is the result of the Qing dynasty's closed-door policy and the inevitable result of the feudal system of more than two thousand years. It is inevitable that the Qing government will perish in such an environment.
