How to remember English words well
How to memorize English words well? Learning from three dimensions, improving vocabulary and memorizing English words must be pragmatic. Don't imagine that there is any magical way to help you master words quickly. This does not exist for English subjects. Don't underestimate the method of rote learning. People like us, who have learned English well since childhood and used English as a professional tool after graduation, have a personal experience that words memorized by rote are the most difficult words to forget and may never be forgotten.

Both of the two commonweal methods of memorizing words are based on diligence, and some methods of memorizing words can improve memory efficiency. Recommend two methods of memorizing words that I have tried, both of which are public welfare methods and can be taught by myself online.

1、? Liao Weiwei's Sleep Memory Method: The memory method invented by Liao Weiwei, a master of College Entrance Examination 145. The latest version is the fifth edition, which is posted on his website. Methods It is divided into 4,000-word text version, 9 short videos and 3,500-word single page for high school students to download and print for free. It takes 20 minutes to learn and master "Reciting Four" and "Machine Gun Reading". It only takes one hour every day, and you can also remember 100 words.

2、? A4 mnemonic method of Beijing Foreign Studies University: The original version was published in Mile Mile. When memorizing words, you need to prepare an A4 piece of paper. Every time you recite words, you should write English words anywhere on A4 paper. Be careful not to follow the order, the more chaotic the better, and don't write Chinese. Reciting is similar to the "machine gun reading method" of sleep memory method, with alternating spelling in Chinese and English, fast and loud. When A4 paper is full, check the words randomly to see if you can tell the Chinese meaning of the words. Cross out what you can say and circle what you can't say. Then strengthen the memory and repeat the operation until all the words are crossed out.

It is not enough to consolidate words by reading texts and articles. It is not enough to just remember the words in the vocabulary. Although "sleep memorization" and "A4 memorization" can form oral muscle memory, if words are not actually used in sentences, it is also a pool of stagnant water.

Here you can quote another way to read English, which is called "Li Yang's three crazy methods". This method is a public welfare method made public by Li Yang on TV in his early years. Reading every sentence of the English text in the loudest, fastest and most accurate way and blurting out the sentences of the text can make us master the sentences skillfully and exercise our English thinking speed and pronunciation accuracy.

Then, we will do some reading questions with appropriate difficulty to exercise our ability to actually use vocabulary.

Usage of extended words It is not enough for students above senior high school to recite words, otherwise their scores will be near the passing line. College entrance examination, band 4 and band 6, postgraduate entrance examination, college entrance examination, BEC, TOEFL and IELTS are basically the same. We should further expand the usage of words, that is, we should sort out and remember phrases and fixed collocations.

Senior high school students have ready-made materials to recite "Senior High School English Test Center 15000", which has a 98% hit rate on phrases appearing in the college entrance examination. His sorting method is open, that is, in the 2300-page Oxford Advanced Dictionary, the possible parts of the college entrance examination are sorted out by filtering. The effectiveness of this method is verified by analyzing the hit rate of real test papers.

For English tests such as CET-4 and CET-6, the high school 1.5 million phrases can only cover 95%~70% of the phrases, and what is missing in the middle is the relevant usage of incremental words. Only 1.5 million can't get a high score close to perfect score. If you want to get high marks, you can sort out the usage of incremental words in related exams and supplement your memory according to the author's open strategy.

By sorting out and memorizing phrases, you won't forget the keywords with phrase usage. We just need to repeat the unused words every once in a while, and the overall memory effect will be good.
