The history of Peng's former residence
Peng's former residence is in Pengjiaweizi, wushi village, Wushi Town. It used to be three huts. Peng Yu was born here on1October 24th. 1898.

19 16 was a soldier in Xiang Army, 1925 was the battalion commander of Xiang Army, and he paid 800 silver dollars to entrust his younger brothers Peng Jinhua and Peng Ronghua to build this new house.

1940 10, Peng Jinhua and Peng Ronghua who participated in the revolution were killed by the Kuomintang successively, and the back door of the East Kitchen was sacrificed for Peng Ronghua.

1949, the local proposal to repair it, Peng refused, and changed the couplet to "the crime of hanging people, carry forward the past and forge ahead into the future, and comment horizontally: serving the people."

In 1958 and 196 1, Peng went back to his hometown for investigation and study twice, stayed at home for 36 days, received or visited more than 2,000 cadres and organizations during the day, participated in collective labor, and wrote 5 rural investigation materials and 4 investigation reports at night. During the Cultural Revolution, Peng's 80,000-word book and some military papers were buried in three horizontal houses in the west.

Deng Xiaoping was named as its former residence on 1982, and its former residence was listed as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in Hunan Province on 1983, which was officially opened to the public in August of the same year.

In June, 20001year, the State Council listed its former residence in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and later identified it as an AAA-level national tourist attraction.
