The longest strike in the history of China workers' movement was a general strike in all provinces and ports from June 1925 to June 1926, aiming at supporting the May 30th anti-imperialist patriotic movement of the Shanghai people. A total of more than 654.38 million workers held a solidarity strike.

The whole strike lasted 1 year and four months, which was the longest strike of the workers' movement in China.

1On July 6th, 925, a provincial and port strike committee was established, led by Su and Deng Zhongxia. Strike workers organized pickets and, with the support and cooperation of Guangzhou Revolutionary Government, imposed a blockade on Hong Kong, making Hong Kong a "dead port" and a "smelly port".
