Tiananmen Square, formerly known as Chengtianmen, was founded in Yongle/KOOC-0/5 (A.D./KOOC-0/4/KOOC-0/7) and completed in Yongle/KOOC-0/8 (A.D./KOOC-0/42/KOOC-0/8). The building was destroyed by lightning in the first year of Tianshun in Ming Dynasty (AD 1456).
