2. The demise of Chu State
In the second year of King Chu (Jihai, 226 BC), Qin Jun attacked Chu, defeated the Chu army and occupied more than ten cities. He proposed to the State of Qin to use the land west of Qingyang (now Changsha, Hunan) for peace. Qin still sent 200,000 troops to attack Chu Pingyu (now Pingyu North of Henan Province), Bedroom (now Linquan of Anhui Province) and Huaiyang of Henan Province.
