La reine margot is one of the representative works of the French writer Dumas. It is based on an important period in French history-the religious war. In A.D. 1572, the Catholic royal family decided to marry Henry de Bourbon (Daniel Auteuil), the Protestant leader of Nabal, and Princess Margaret (isabelle adjani), the king's sister, became a victim of political marriage.
