Sun Shu (1511-1569) is the founder of Xintai County Records. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, he was a university student, whose name was Ruxiao and nickname was Xishu. Su Zhuang, Xintai County, Ming Dynasty (now Su Zhuang Village, Liu Yang Town, xintai city). The seventh grandson of Sun Fu, a scholar at the end of Yuan Dynasty, was a tribute student during Jiajing period and went to imperial academy to study. He was a famous scholar of Xintai in Ming Dynasty. More than ten like-minded people, such as Li Gong Sheng, started to write Xintai County Records in the summer of Jiajing thirty-eight years (1559), and invited Li Kaixian, a traditional opera writer, to make a preface, which was published in the summer of Jiajing thirty-nine years (1560), creating a precedent for private writing Xintai County Records.
