Dajigong was originally a leakless temple in the Sui Dynasty, and "leakless" means worry-free. In the twenty-second year of Zhenguan, in Li Zhi, Tang Gaozong, in order to commend his mother, Empress Wende, as a blessing and miss her mother's kindness, a special person rebuilt the "No Leak Hall" and renamed it "Jigong Hall".
In Zhenguan 19, Xuanzang went west to seek dharma and returned to China. Crown Prince Li Zhi respectfully invited Master Xuanzang to preside over the ceremony in Daejeon, where he translated Buddhist scriptures and preached Buddhist teachings such as only knowing Sect, making Daejeon the ancestral home of only knowing Sect. In Dajigong 19, Xuanzang translated many Buddhist scriptures. In order to preserve the relics that Master Xuanzang brought back from India, Master Xuanzang personally participated in the construction of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Two stone tablets written by Zhu Suiliang, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, are embedded in the brick niches on the east and west sides of the South Gate Cave of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda: one stone tablet is the preface of the Buddhist scriptures translated by Emperor Taizong for Xuanzang.
The other is Tang Gaozong's inscription "Preface to Tang Sanzang". The two monuments, also known as the "Two Saints and Three Wonders Monuments", were inscribed by Emperor Taizong and Tang Gaozong, and by Zhu Suiliang, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty.
