The book Shuo Wen Jie Zi says, "Shao Kang and Du Kang also". Shao Kang was the fifth king of Xia Dynasty. Shao Kang is Du Kang, so Du Kang is king.
Zhang Hua, a native of the Western Jin Dynasty, wrote a book called Natural History. Du Kang was the satrap of Jiuquan in Han Dynasty.

Today, there is a village called Kangjiawei in Baishui County, Shaanxi Province, which is about fifteen miles away from the county seat. People say this is the birthplace of Du Kang. Baishui County Records, which was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, recorded that "Du Kang, with the word" Ning ",was passed down from generation to generation.
There are the most "relics" of Du Kang in Ruyang County, Henan Province, including Du Jikang, Du Kangquan, Du He Kang and Du Kang Xiancun. According to folklore, it is not far from Luoyi, the capital of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (now Luoyang Wangcheng Park). In the Zhou Dynasty, a son of heaven drank the wine brewed by Du Kang, which greatly stimulated his appetite. He named Du Kang "Brewmaster" and "Du Kang Xian Zhuang".
Huangdedi Village, Yichuan County, Henan Province, is also said to be a winery in Du Kang. It's far from Dukang Xianzhuang in Ruyang. In the village, there was a glimpse of Gu Quan, a famous emperor of Gu Quan. It is said that this is the spring when Du Kang draws water. This eye spring is in the same strain as Du Kangquan in Ruyang, and the water quality is sweet and clear.
In order to commemorate Du Kang, the people of Ruyang County built the "Du Kang Temple" and dedicated the statue of Du Kang as a god.
Zhang Hua, a native of the Western Jin Dynasty, wrote in the Natural History: "Dukangshan makes wine." Tao Yuanming, a great poet in Jin Dynasty, was not only addicted to alcohol, but also made wine. Then he said, "Yidi makes wine, but Du Kang dips in it." They all mean it.
