The Historical Evolution of Henan Province
Luoyang is the capital of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. Sanchuan county is located in Qin, and Luoyang is ruled by the county. When analyzing Sanchuan County in the Western Han Dynasty, there were Henan County in the east and hongnong county in the west. From then on, Henan became a place name. Until the end of the Qing Dynasty, Henan County, Henan Yin and Henan Fu were all referred to as Luoyang.

Luoyang was the capital of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and Cao Wei was also the capital, but Luoyang was changed to Luoyang, and the administrative system followed the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the Western Jin Dynasty, Yinzhou, Henan Province was changed to Henan County, and Xingyang County was located in the east. During the Sixteen Kingdoms Period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Heluo was still a county in Henan.

After the Northern Wei Dynasty unified the North, it moved its capital to Luoyang and changed Henan County to Henan Yin. In the Sui Dynasty, Yinzhou, Henan Province was changed to Henan County, with Luoyang as the center.

In Tang Dynasty, Henan County was changed to Duji Road, Henan Province. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the Henan government took Xijing Luoyang as the center, and governed Gongyi, Dengfeng, Mianchi, Yanshi, Jin Meng, Yichuan, Xin 'an, Yiyang, Luoning and today's Songxian.

During the Southern Song Dynasty, the jurisdiction area of Henan Province of Jin State was reduced, and now it governs Gongyi, Dengfeng, Mianchi, Yanshi, Jin Meng, Xin 'an, Yiyang and Yichuan. Henan Province was established in the Yuan Dynasty, which was subordinate to one state (Shaanxi Province, now Sanmenxia City) and twelve counties (Luoyang County, Yanshi County, Yiyang County, Yongning County, Lingbao County, Ganxiang County, Shaanxi County, Mianchi County, Mengjin County, Xin 'an County, Gongxian County and Dengfeng County).

Henan Province was established in the Ming Dynasty, with jurisdiction over one state and thirteen counties (Song County was added in the Yuan Dynasty).

The Qing Dynasty established the Henan government, which ruled Luoyang (now Luoyang City, Henan Province). After the second year of Yongzheng (1724), it governed ten counties, but lacked Lingbao County, Kanxiang County and Shaanxi County.

It has jurisdiction over Luoyang (now Luoyang City, Henan Province), Yanshi (now yanshi city City, Henan Province), Yiyang (now Yiyang County, Henan Province), Xin 'an (now Xin 'an County, Henan Province), Gongxian (now gongyi city City, Henan Province), Jin Meng (the county governs the old city of Mengjin County, Henan Province), Dengfeng (now Dengfeng City, Henan Province), Yongning (now Luoning County, Henan Province) and Xi.

During the Republic of China, Heluo Road was set up, leading to 19 counties. Shaanxi, Lingbao, Kanxiang, Lushi, Linru, Jiaxian, Baofeng, Lushan and Yiyang counties were added in Qing Dynasty.
