Historical Evolution of Egret Township
Named after the residents' market. 193 1 In August, Mao Zedong and Zhu De held a meeting of cadres at or above the army level, which was called "Egret Meeting" in history. At the beginning of liberation, it was an egret, a seagull and a leading township in Tiancun District. 1958 belongs to Soviet commune (later changed to Tamura commune), and 1962 belongs to Egret commune. 1968 merged into Tamura commune, and 1972 restored Egret commune. 1984 changed to Egret Township. 1997, with an area of 78 square kilometers and a population of 14000, governs four administrative villages: Egret, Guancun, Tangji, Taoxi, Shangtang, Renkeng, Lintou, Dong Tian, Jiankeng, Longtou, Yulong, Long Fu, Liren 14.
