Ruijin City is a county-level city directly under the Central Government of Jiangxi Province and under the custody of Ganzhou City, which is located in the south of Jiangxi Province, at the west foot of the southern section of Wuyi Mountain, at the east source of Ganjiang River and at the upper reaches of Gongshui River. It is connected to Changting County, Fujian Province in the east, Huichang County in the south, Dudu County in the west and Ningdu and Shicheng counties in the north. Ruijin covers an area of 244 1.40 square kilometers, including 29.3 square kilometers of built-up area, 28,600 hectares of cultivated land, 8.765438 hectares of woodland/kloc-0, and the forest coverage rate is 75.6%. Administer 10 townships, 7 towns and 240 village (neighborhood) committees.
There are four national highways 323, 3 19 and 206 in Ruijin, and another 236 passes through Ruijin, of which the zero starting point of National Highway 323 is in Taxia Temple, Ruijin. Gan Long Railway runs through Ruijin and connects with Xiaying Line and Beijing-Kowloon Line.
Historical evolution:
1August 23, 949, belonging to Ningdu area. On August 29th 1952, Ningdu District was abolished, and Ruijin County was transferred to Ganzhou District. 1June, 954, Ganzhou district was changed to Gannan administrative district, and Ruijin county was still under its jurisdiction. 1964 in may, Gannan administrative region was renamed Ganzhou district, leading to ruijin county. 197 1 February, Ganzhou area was changed to Ganzhou area, which governs Ruijin County.
1May, 994 18 People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council approved the revocation of Ruijin County and the establishment of Ruijin City. The jurisdiction and administrative level have not changed, and it still belongs to Ganzhou area.
1in the winter of 998, after the State Council approved the revocation of Ganzhou area and the establishment of prefecture-level Ganzhou city, the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government approved the provincial administration of Ruijin City in February of 1999, and Ganzhou City took charge of it.
20 14 In May, with the approval of the provincial party committee and government, Ruijin City became one of the pilot projects of the system reform of counties (cities) directly under the jurisdiction of the province (with the same division, it still belongs to Ganzhou City).
