Huangze Temple in Guangyuan, East Sichuan —— The Queen's Hometown
Huangze Temple is the only temple dedicated to Empress Wu Zetian in China, located in the west of Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. 196 1 was announced by the State Council as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and was rated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction in 2006.

Huangze Temple is located on the west bank of Jialing River in the west of Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, at the foot of Wulong Mountain, facing Guangyuan City across the river.

There are some buildings in Huangze Temple, such as the gate, Zetian Temple, Second Temple, Giant Buddha Pagoda, Xiaonanhai, Lvzu Pavilion, Wufo Pavilion, Wu Family Temple, Bell and Drum Tower, etc., as well as the newly-built Queen's Villa and the embossed wall of the Song Tomb.

When you step into the gate of Huangze Temple, the first thing you see is the second temple. In the center of the hall, there are two saints: Tang Gaozong and Wu Zetian.

After the second temple, it is the Temple of Heaven. The temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty, and was once called "Wuhou Hall" and "Tianhou Hall" in history. Different from other temples, Huangze Temple is an "official camp" temple built by the imperial edict of the Queen, and there is no "Hall of Great Heroes", so the Temple of Heaven is the main hall of Huangze Temple.

In the center of the Temple of Heaven, there is a unique stone statue of "Wuhou Rong Zhen" in China. The Record of Nine Domains in the Song Dynasty recorded that Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor, and she "endowed the temple with true meaning". The stone statue is1.8m high, carved from a whole piece of sandstone, and it has been 1300 years since. During the Cultural Revolution, the body was damaged, the head was separated and later repaired, and the neck was shorter than before.

The Giant Buddha Building, also known as the Giant Buddha Grottoes, has no buildings, and is a cliff statue grottoes on the side of Zetian Hall.

The Great Buddha Pagoda was built in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, and then collapsed due to disrepair. The building we are seeing now is a new building funded by National Cultural Heritage Administration 1980. Li Banli, a famous calligrapher, inscribed the word "Giant Buddha Tower", so it is called "Giant Buddha Tower".

There are also six caves, 465,438+0 niches, 65,438+0,203 Cliff Statues of Huang Ze 'an excavated from the Northern Wei Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and their inscriptions in previous dynasties, which not only have extremely high cultural relics value, but also have extremely high ornamental and research value, and are praised by experts as treasures of China traditional culture.

The original Huangze Temple in Guangyuan is large in scale. During the construction of baoji-chengdu railway 1954, the subgrade passed through the center of Huangze Temple complex, and many ancient temples were demolished. Hey! With a heavy sigh.

In addition, there is the Zheng Guang Monument dug by the railway, which has not been photographed yet. Looks like there's only next time.

Guangyuan is also known as the hometown of the Empress, so September 1 day of the Gregorian calendar is designated as the unique Daughter's Day in Guangyuan, and every female friend can visit Huangze Temple for free on that day, which is informed by local friends. Not bad.

Summer vacation, sweating, climbing high and falling low, still in high spirits, suffering from lack of time, many places did not appreciate it carefully, photos were taken in a hurry, with many shortcomings, leaving regrets, I hope to savor it next time. @ Hao+ Pay attention immediately, and I will continue to share the beautiful scenery on the road.
