Miao (Mongolian) Wang Mengneng and Li Tianbao are both from Babaoshan at the junction of Suining, Huitong and Jingzhou counties (there used to be criss-crossing ditches and fortifications here). They were born in poverty and lived a life of "eating the last meal without the next meal" since childhood. There is no doubt that they have heard and witnessed the tricks of extortion and gradually become leaders because of their talents. With the passage of time, they gradually incorporated and defeated other forces in Jingzhou Prefecture, and then their sphere of influence gradually expanded to Ma Pingchuan, Pukou, Feishan, Genshankou and other places with rich products, and regarded these places as their own "grain bags" and "money bags".
As a lean generation, Meng Neng and Li Tianbao certainly can't escape. Their ambitions don't stop there. They have bigger ideas-leaving the court and becoming king on their own. In this way, they visited all parts of Jingzhou to build fortifications, but finally they took a fancy to the Wenxi Dragon Group in Jingzhou, which is on the same Long Mai as Babaoshan in Huitong County. They thought that the Dragon Group was the real place where dragons were born: there were endless streams of male dragons headed by Whitehead (rumors are valid, why is this mountain called Xionglong, as long as you pronounce it in Jingzhou dialect), and there were female dragons headed by Honglingshan. The most amazing thing is that the straight-line distance between the three hills of Baiyitou, Hongling and Babaoshan is less than 15 km, and they are all at the height of 950 meters, looking at each other, playing with each other and supporting each other. The dragon group is on the faucet of Baiyitou, and the opposite side of the mountain around the water ring is Babaoshan. They built a fortress in the hinterland between the two dragons (said to be near the female dragon head)-Shangbao. A fortress, Xiabao, was built in Longtuan (said to be the dragon head) (the two fortresses are ten kilometers apart), and a large number of palaces were built on the living dragon mouth of Longtuan (the remains of the palaces are still there, only a large number of slabs and rubble were left). With their growing power and increasing number of soldiers, the cost of food and drink for soldiers alone is very huge. They lived in the beautiful Long Mai Longquan, and ordered his minions to go to new factories and shops, and went down to rich places such as Aoshang and Gan Tang to search for money and rice. In this way, gradually touched the interests of others. Other damaged Miao kings instructed others to complain to Jingzhou Prefecture once every three days. As the old saying goes, "a big tree attracts the wind", and they have gradually become one of the targets of everyone's propaganda. Therefore, the state government embellished it and reported to the court many times that Wang Miao had rebelled in Jingzhou. In order to stabilize the country, the imperial court "would rather believe in it", and at the same time, in order to show the mighty division of the army, it mobilized soldiers from Nanjing, Ji 'an, Jiangxi, Fujian and other places to Jingzhou, plus Jingzhou Yang Zai's descendants and other local armed forces, totaling more than 70,000 people. This is the legendary story of "Eight Generals Expelling Miao King" in Jingzhou history. The eight commanders were Yang, Huang, Long, Li, Lin, Yao and Yin (Yin was killed, and later his descendants changed to Qin, and the descendants of the commanders also settled in Jingzhou and scattered around. This is also the real reason why many of our ancestors moved to Jingzhou during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Every day is shuddering, and some impatient rebels come out to fight in Mawangping, Jiangdong Unity, Genshankou Xia Xiang and other places (Feishan Mawangping, Jiangdong Unity, Genshankou Xia Xiang and other places are old battlefields familiar to the older generation). Meng Neng, Li Tianbao and other rebels, surrounded by many soldiers in the imperial court, suffered casualties and were defeated.
Under the siege of many imperial officers and soldiers, Shangxiabao and Longtuan were simply vulnerable. In desperation, Meng Neng and Li Tianbao set fire to the dragon regiment to hide their tracks. As the saying goes, "the three caves of cunning rabbits", after they set fire to the dragon cave, they retreated to Babaoshan in Huitong County. Meng Neng, Li Tianbao and the officers and men of Eight Generals fought many times in Babaoshan, Huitong County. Because Miao Wangmeng was seriously injured, he led the remaining 4,000 or 5,000 disabled soldiers south again and fled to the virgin forest in Huang Sang Ping, Suining, Shaoyang. Due to the dense forests and dangerous terrain in Pingshan, Huang Sang, it is easy to defend and difficult to attack, and the spy reported that Meng Neng died of his injuries, the court did not take Li Tianbao to heart, leaving the original officers and men to reclaim land in Jingzhou, Huitong and Suining. Because the officers and men are busy with farming and have no time to train, they have been living in peace for more than ten years. As a result, Li Tianbao's residual forces gradually developed to 50,000 to 60,000 people. He rebuilt the Golden Hall in Pingping, Huang Sang, and became king on his own, thus rebuilding the Shanghe Kingdom.
