Qi was a vassal state in the history of China from Xia Dynasty to early Warring States. In xintai city, Shandong Province, a batch of Qi bronzes from Daoguang and Guangxu periods in Qing Dynasty were unearthed. In 2002, Zhoujiazhuang, xintai city discovered the tombs of Qi nobles through archaeology. A large number of facts have confirmed that Xintai City was once the capital of Qi, so Xintai was called "the capital of Qi".
