Qionghai is the birthplace of Qiongya column of China People's Liberation Army, the center of Qiongya revolutionary base, the land where "Red women soldiers" was born and fought, and the hometown of Qiongya revolutionary pioneers Yang Shanji, Wang Wenming, Yan Fengyi and General Zhou Shidi.

Qionghai's revolutionary struggle is an integral part of the entire revolutionary cause of China people, and it is also an important part of the glorious history of Qiongya's revolutionary red flag for 23 years. Qionghai Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall was built in April 1985, including historical materials exhibition room and physical objects exhibition hall. Qionghai Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall is located in Bupianling, Jiaji Town, qionghai city.

Qionghai's revolutionary struggle has experienced glorious battles and hardships. In the 30 years from the May 4th Movement to the liberation of Hainan Island, the people in Qiongdong and Le Hui counties fought bravely, overthrew the reactionary oppression of imperialism and feudal forces, established a new socialist China, withstood severe tests, created great achievements and wrote magnificent chapters.
