Anhe Bridge is in Beijing.

Anhe Bridge is located in the middle of Haidian District, Beijing. In the second year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1724), the red flag of Yuanmingyuan Guard Camp was set up on the north side of Anheqiao Village, and a "Fengyi Cang" was set up nearby. In order to facilitate travel, a wooden bridge was built on the nearby river, which means "peace in An Lan" and is called "Anhe Bridge".

Anhe Bridge is a stone arch bridge built in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty, commonly known as Luoguo Bridge. Originally a wooden bridge, it was changed to a stone arch bridge in the late Qianlong period. The stone forehead is called Anhe Bridge, which was later changed to Anhe Bridge.

As early as the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a hydrological observation room here, and officers and men were sent to monitor the water situation day and night. Up to now, the Beijing Water Affairs Bureau has also set up a hydrological observation agency here to measure the river water level at any time in summer to prevent floods.

Present situation of Anhe Bridge

At present, Haidian has many rivers and lakes, many famous springs, abundant water, clear and sweet, and is an important water supply source in Beijing. For nearly half a century, Beijing, as the capital of People's Republic of China (PRC), has experienced a sharp increase in population, rapid development of various undertakings, increasing water consumption, over-exploitation of groundwater and gradual drying up of the long river of history, which makes it difficult to meet the urban water supply demand.

1965 The Jingmi diversion canal was built, and its channel generally followed the old road from Baifuquan to Wengshanpo of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the Yuan Dynasty. A Xin Anhe Bridge will be erected about 0.5km north of Qinglong Bridge.

The foundation of this bridge is a reinforced concrete structure. The guardrail and sentry box on the bridge are all white marble. The bridge is about 25 meters wide and 60 meters long. On the rippling river, the green willows on both sides of the river become stars, setting off the stone bridge very beautifully. The new bridge and the ancient bridge are about 200 meters apart, far away from each other, with excellent scenery.
