Today, based on my own experience of historical works, I will talk about six suggestions for making slides.
When making PPT, it is inevitable to use a lot of pictures. An excellent picture will add a lot of color to your PPT, and a bad picture will also affect the aesthetics of your PPT.
Therefore, I have two suggestions about the selection of pictures in PPT.
(1) The picture must be clear enough.
As can be seen from the above two PPT, high-definition pictures will look much more comfortable with the same content and the same typesetting method.
In fact, we often say that the picture is clear, which means that the resolution of the picture should be large enough.
What is the resolution? Resolution is the accuracy of the screen image, which refers to the number of pixels that the display can display. The more pixels the display can display, the finer the image.
So you should know that, generally speaking, the higher the resolution of a picture, the clearer it looks. So what resolution can I use?
After my test, it is recommended that the picture resolution be above 1024px × 600px, which is suitable for PPT.
(2) The picture style is reasonable.
Can I find a clear picture and use it directly?
Let's look at this slide. Although all four pictures are clear, the third picture is in comic style, and the other three pictures are taken in real scenes, so the two styles of pictures do not match together.
Change the comic style to the style of real-life shooting, and the styles of the four pictures will be unified.
In PPT production, font selection is also a big problem for beginners.
First, novices haven't been exposed to too many fonts, and what they usually see in their work are basically Songti and Bold fonts, so it is difficult for PPT to produce results.
Second, novices often encounter "XXX font collection" when choosing fonts, and download several G font resources from the Internet. When they use it, they only consider the beauty of the font and ignore the appropriateness of the font and PPT itself.
For example, this page of PPT has a brush font, Microsoft elegant black, contour lines and italics, so the font style is not uniform.
Therefore, the number of fonts in PPT is very important. Too many fonts will make PPT a bit fancy. I changed the font to "elegant typing workshop" and found a clearer picture as a picture. The effect is obvious.
Here, I list several font combinations that I often use for your reference.

As for the choice of color matching, my understanding is that the number of color matching is small, but it should be fine.
From this year's Oscar movie posters, we can find that an excellent design work has no more than three main colors, and the rest are auxiliary colors.

This is the number of color matching is small, but fine. So is PPT. Two or three excellent color schemes in a PPT are enough.
In addition to not too much, but also pay attention to the saturation of color.
Colors similar to those shown below must be used with care. The color saturation is too high, which is not conducive to long-term viewing. Watching too much will make you feel "spicy eyes".
