What are the methods of termite control?
1, powder poisoning method: the application technology has a great influence on the efficacy. If the application site is improper, the dosage is too small or the powder is blocked, the expected control effect will not be achieved. In order to avoid mistakes caused by improper use or other reasons, the efficacy test must be carried out after use. Because termites come and go frequently between nests, applying pesticides in the main nest can kill the whole termite population. The time from pesticide application to termite death is about 3-4 days in summer and 0/week in winter. 2. Trapping method: Trapping method includes poison bait method and drug bait method, which is the main method to kill termites at present. 3. Cave-digging method: Cave-digging method is generally used in places where drug sources cannot be solved. It is cold in winter, and domestic termites seldom go out when the temperature is lower than 10 degrees, and a large number of termites are concentrated in nests. At this time, digging a nest can get better results. Termite control should combine physical disinfection with chemical disinfection. 4. Common physical methods: 1) High-temperature ant killing method High-temperature ant killing method is suitable for controlling sand termites. Termites will die after a few hours at a high temperature above 60℃. Therefore, various methods can be used to generate high temperature and treat rotten wood to control this termite. All furniture corroded by sand termites can be treated at 65℃ 1 hour for 30 minutes or at 60℃ for 4 hours, which can effectively kill termites. 2) Water immersion method is suitable for killing sand termites, which mainly harms indoor wooden components and wild trees and fruit trees. Excessive heat and humid conditions will change the original living environment of sand-piling termites, leading to termite death.

3) Light trapping method This method is suitable for the control of winged breeding ants. A large number of winged reproductive ants flying out of the nest have strong phototaxis, so they are trapped by various light sources and annihilated. 5. Emergency measures for various termite hazards: 1) In the flying season of termites, winged adults must be eliminated, and liquid medicine should be poured into the flying holes and sprayed around the flying areas to avoid spreading; 2) Dig a nest to kill ants. Do not spend the night anywhere in the dug nest, and termites in the nest must be eliminated or properly disposed of in time; 3) Buildings and objects damaged by termites must be destroyed before maintenance or replacement, and the damaged parts removed shall not be stored and disposed at will to avoid spreading hazards.
