The teaching facilities of the Institute of History and Culture are relatively perfect, which can basically meet the needs of undergraduate teaching. Our college has five teaching facilities, such as reference room, cultural relics room, language lab, tourism comprehensive laboratory and microcomputer room. With nearly 30,000 books, the reference room is one of the largest liberal arts libraries in Shanxi University, which can meet the needs of 50 teachers and students at the same time. The Cultural Relics Room was established in 1943. After years of collection and archaeological excavation, there are now more than 2,000 cultural relics, of which about 300 treasures are used for exhibition and on-site teaching in four majors. The language laboratory was established in 1998, with the purpose of enabling students majoring in tourism to strengthen their conversation and listening training in addition to the regular foreign language teaching classes at school. In order to meet the needs of simulation teaching, a comprehensive tourism laboratory was established. Students can receive basic skills training in hotel and wine restaurant management. The computer room was built in 1999 to familiarize students with computer operation.
