The first county magistrate of Yishan County, Hechi, Guangxi was Xiao Baoyu. According to relevant public information, Xiao Baoyu, formerly known as Guangbao, was born in Longzhou County, Guangxi, graduated from the preparatory class of Guangxi University, left Vietnam with Huang in 1929, returned to China in 1930, and was sent to the advanced class of Guangxi Military Academy for training. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he served as the head of the Guangxi Student Army and the director of the Political Department of the Student Army. After Japan surrendered, he was appointed as the magistrate of Yishan County.
