Historical evolution of Anhui
In the early days of liberation, Anhui was divided into two administrative offices: northern Anhui and southern Anhui. The administrative office in northern Anhui is located in Hefei, and the administrative office in southern Anhui is located in Wuhu.
1949 April 15, the area north of the Yangtze River in Anhui Province was liberated. 1On April 20th, 949, Anhui was completely liberated, and there were two provincial-level administrative regions in northern Anhui and southern Anhui.
1On August 7th, 952, the northern Anhui Administrative Region and the southern Anhui Administrative Region merged to form the Anhui Provincial Government, with Hefei as its capital.
20 1 1 August, the prefecture-level Chaohu city was revoked. The county-level Chaohu City was established, and the four counties under the jurisdiction of the former Chaohu City 1 District were respectively assigned to Hefei, Wuhu and Maanshan.
