Sand painting is an ancient and traditional artistic expression, which can be traced back to a special picture symbol for communication and notes before the appearance of human language. Historically, this kind of picture symbol has developed in two directions, one is the direction of writing language, which has formed our language system today, and the other is the direction of painting art, which has formed various painting art forms at present.
During the Song Dynasty in China, there were allusions to changing the script and drawing the script, but in Vanuatu, a Melanesian archipelago in the southwest Pacific Ocean, this artistic heritage with multiple functions such as ritual, meditation and communication was still preserved.
